Staging your house for a quick sale
You will probably have seen one of the many televions property programmes showing you how to stage your house to get the best price and a quick sale. The thing is it works.
Make sure when viewers come round that your house is clean and fresh, bright and quiet. This may involve giving some shabby walls a lick of warm, neutral paint; using air fresheners and displaying fresh flowers and playing soothing music.
Pack up those personal photographs and family heirlooms so the buyer can imagine thier personal treasures on display.
Remove as much clutter as you can. Pay particular attention to the kitchen. Try and leave the works surfaces as empty as possible. It will make the kitchen look bigger and more appealing.
Fix doors that don't close properly and kitchen drawers that jam.
Make sure ths house has "kerb appeal". The lawn should be mowed, flower beds neat and tidy, windows washed, and paintwork clean. How about using one or two tubs to brighten up the exterior.
